Did George Soros Really Quit Politics ?

Or Has He Just Slipped Into The Shadows ?

By Tom Walsh

According to a recent article by Maggie Haberman, billionaire and liberal financier George Soros, who spent millions of his own personal fortune trying to oust President Bush in 2004, said he hopes to stay out of politics from now on.  But where does this curious statement come from?

On September 28, 2006 George Soros was giving a speech at a Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)[1] meeting on the Upper East Side. What he actually said was, "In the future, I'd very much like to get disengaged from politics.  I'm interested in policy and not in politics."

But, going from being a private citizen funding campaigns, to joining the CFR, is like going from being the junior high school water boy to getting a multi-million dollar contract with the NFL.

When American voters feel disenfranchised with their government and wonder why the problems in our country keep getting worse, they need look no further than the CFR.  Whether it’s the constant increase in taxes, the fraud of touch screen voting machines, or the bureaucratic terrorism of Regional Planning Commissions, the CFR is behind it all.

George Soros has not left politics.  He has joined the most powerful shadow government on earth.
